I love supporting local businesses and I wish I’d listened to a coworker who recommended Facinelli Motors years ago.  The owner, Thom, has been working on Subarus for years, and he knows his stuff.  He is very responsive by phone and email. When Heuberger Subaru quoted me $7,900 to replace my seized engine – Facinelli put in a warrantied (2yr/24k) rebuilt engine for just under $3,700. Facinelli isn’t a “stealership” and he has great prices.

Tom quoted me on a Monday, I dropped it off on a wed. picked it up on Friday morning, all was well. I got cheaper quotes, but Tom works in a little town, and the locals keep using him and swear he stands behind his work. There is nowhere to hide in a little town. He helped me troubleshoot a problem a few years ago and would not take payment as I did the work. This is just an honest guy, who does good honest work. Send you wife or your daughter and they will get the same treatment as if you went. I gave him the B for cost because he was a little higher, you get what you pay for. Also I did have to go back and have him bleed the clutch a second time, so it felt right, he got me in and out in less than 10 min. and apologized for me having to come back. This guy is my mechanic, and does it right. You only find out what you are dealing with when there is an issue, he took care of me and made sure I was satisfied. BTW I now have ~ 65k miles on the clutch and it is still issue free.

I had the last interview with them probably 6 months ago and it cost around $300. They get fixed the standard schedule service primarily and something else. There was a major milestone acknowledge, that is what they did a little more than a usual stuff. It is unusual and precise it was but it is as well what they did. The good work has been for now for 15 years. It is a family business and Thom is the owner and certified by Subaru and a lot of telephone cards as well. He has been invariably 3 years professional. He and his staff know exactly what they are doing. He trained some of his staff and himself and anybody you asked around town who has a Subaru and knew about the motor is very well done and effective organization.

I have been bringing my 1998 Subaru here for probably the past 10 years.  I have always trusted his work and found his prices to be much better than dealer prices.  He advises me as to what really needs to be done and what can wait, which I really appreciate.  When it came time for a new car, I bought another Subaru, partly because I knew I had a good mechanic.  I still have the old one too.  I trust him to tell me when its time to get rid of the old one. Even though he specializes in Subarus, he will work on other cars too.  We bring my husband’s Toyota highlander here too.

They are quick to set up appointments. They are always timely and finish when they quote they will. They are very trustworthy and don’t try and up sell. They are very friendly. The staff is very personable and informative. Anyone that I have mentioned the service provider to, that has used them, has been pleased.

Everything was done to my satisfaction.

Nov 30, 2014 Facinelli Motors has provided excellent automotive services for our Acura RL and Acura MDX for a number of years. Their customer service has been congenial and helpful at all times. Their location is convenient for customers in the Tri-Lakes area. It’s a definite plus to not to have to drive into the Springs for our car care needs.  We recommend highly recommend Facinelli Motors.

I have 3 Subarus and a Toyota and Tom maintains all of them. He is fair, talented, and has never tried to “up sell” me on any work. In fact, I once had him change the timing belt on a Subaru that we purchased (thinking the previous owner would not have changed the belt before they traded the car in) and he informed me the belt did not need changing. How many mechanics do you know that would pass up the quick $400.00?… not many. I’ll continue to take the vehicles in since he and his crew do great work at fair prices.

Amazing mechanics, honest, trustworthy, and HUMAN! Tom told me exactly what was wrong with my car after I had taken it to another mechanic shop in Monument (BIG O). I wanted a second opinion because what I was originally told kept changing, and the prices kept going up and up and up. Tom was honest with me about what needed to be done, what didn’t need to be done, and gave me an accurate quote. He did the job right the first time and didn’t charge me more than was necessary. I recommend EVERYONE in the area go to him!

I have taken every car I have owned in the last 14 years to this master mechanic, and have been treated well and fairly every time. From a simple oil change to major work, he absolutely knows his stuff. He keeps his appointments, is open, funny, straightforward and honest, and will tell you the utter truth about cost and what needs to be done on the vehicle.

The best…

I met Tom when we both worked at Heuberger Subaru (1995). He has worked on my cars since, completely trustworthy, and a really good mechanic. I take my ’95 Jetta to him. He just replaced the timing belt, and the car only has 365,000 miles on it! It also gets 37 mpg. Jokingly, Tom said not to tell anyone about it. I’d recommend him to all.

Best Mechanic in the Area

This mechanic will let you know when something does not yet need fixing as well as respecting your decision either way. He runs a fine business, is not condescending to his more mechanically challenged clientele (me) and has always had the work done in a timely manner for a reasonable cost.

Took my car to another shop (Aspen Car Care) and they told me I needed $960 brake job. I took it to Facinelli and they said that my rotors and calipers did not need replaced like the other shop said and fixed my car for $200.
